The Lesson That Became IMC
This Teacher's Day, Adnan Safee remembers a lesson his father left behind — one that took years to find its purpose.
Mumbai
Some lessons are taught in classrooms. Others are spoken casually by the people who know us best — so casually that we don't realise their weight until years later.
Adnan Safee was in advertising. Ideas, campaigns and communication were his world.
His father would often tell him: "You are in advertising. If you can make people believe in an idea, why can't you use that ability to do something for your community?"
Adnan took it lightly. Life moved on. Work continued.
Then his father passed away. And somehow, those words stayed.
They began returning as a question: If communication can sell an idea, can it also bring people together? If technology can connect markets, can it connect people? And if we have the ability to create something meaningful, shouldn't we create something that matters?
Years later, that question found its answer.
IMC.
What began as a father's simple observation became a vision — to build a connected, trusted and opportunity-driven community through technology.
A lesson that arrived quietly, stayed silently — and eventually became a movement.
And Adnan did not walk that journey alone. His brothers became part of it, including Rehan Safee, Founding Council Member — IMC-FC-2026-UP-00006.
Today, IMC carries more than a vision. It carries a father's lesson.
Perhaps that is what a true teacher leaves behind. Not just knowledge. But a thought that continues to live long after they are gone.
This Teacher's Day, IMC remembers the teacher behind the idea.
